Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create a Proxima account, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your email address and any profile details you choose to provide (such as your name). We use this information to authenticate you, secure your account, and communicate with you about the Service.

Usage & log data. Like most web applications, our servers automatically record standard log data when you use the Service — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs, timestamps, and similar technical metadata. We also collect aggregate usage analytics (for example, which companies or dashboards are viewed most often) to understand how the Service is used and to improve it.

We do not ask you to submit sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, financial account credentials, or health information) to use Proxima, and you should not submit any such information through the Service.

Proxima uses cookies and similar technologies set by our authentication provider, Clerk, to keep you signed in and to protect your session from unauthorized access. These are functional session cookies necessary for the Service to work — we do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Disabling cookies in your browser will prevent you from staying signed in.

We use account and usage information to operate and maintain the Service, authenticate sign-ins and protect against fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, send you operational communications (such as account or security notices), and understand aggregate usage patterns so we can prioritize product improvements. We do not use your account information to train third-party advertising models, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only with a small number of service providers who help us operate Proxima under confidentiality obligations — for example, Clerk (authentication), our cloud hosting provider, and error-monitoring and analytics tooling — and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those functions.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Proxima, our users, or others.

The core of the Proxima product — executive names, titles, compensation figures, equity grants, beneficial ownership, insider transactions, and related disclosures — is drawn entirely from filings that public companies are required to file with the SEC, such as proxy statements (DEF 14A), Forms 3/4/5, and periodic reports. This data is already public record before it ever reaches Proxima; we do not collect it directly from, or on behalf of, the individuals it describes, and it is not treated as "your" personal information under this policy even where it identifies you by name.

We retain account information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Standard server logs are retained for a limited operational window and then routinely purged or aggregated.

You may update your account profile at any time from within the Service. To request deletion of your account and associated account information, or to ask a question about data we hold about you, email aspoerl@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to information we are required to retain for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

Note that requests to remove information sourced from public SEC filings (Section 5) should generally be directed to the SEC or the filer, since Proxima is reproducing a public record rather than the original source.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Proxima is a business research tool and is not directed to, or intended for use by, children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date below and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
